As a Security Professional - Access Control Patrols in Hawthorne, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for staff, visitors, and patients. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility to help to deter security-related incidents. You will be a visible presence, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to inquiries and assisting with access needs. This position requires the use of a computer or tablet for reporting and communication. As this is a driving post, a valid driver's license in the job state is required. Pay Rate: $21.95 - $22.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the healthcare facility, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, staff, and patients with security-related inquiries and directions.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations and/or lockdowns.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs and concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
