Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and Improve PM Processes & Documentation:
    Support the comprehensive review and continuous improvement of all Program Management processes and documentation to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and Saab Inc. policies.
  • Develop Standardized Templates:
    Support the creation and maintenance of templates, checklists, and process documentation to improve efficiency in project management activities. Ensure these tools are consistently used across the organization and meet audit requirements.
  • Create and Maintain the PM Portal:
    Build and maintain a centralized PM portal that provides access to relevant resources including process documentation, best practices, industry articles, ad-hoc training materials, tools, and templates to enable continuous learning and reference for PMs.
  • Support Engineering Excellence Organization:
    Partner with the Engineering Excellence organization to collaborate and align engineering processes with Program Management frameworks, ensuring cross-functional consistency and operational synergy.
  • Audit Preparation and Support:
    Assist in preparing Program Managers for internal and external audits related to Saab Inc.'s programs, ensuring compliance with established PM standards and documentation requirements.
  • Facilitate Certification Preparation:

Conduct gap analysis and provide recommendations on training and program management certifications (e.g. PMP, PgMP, SAFe).

Compensation Range: $61.92 - $80.48 per hour

    The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

    Skills and Experience:

    Required Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in program or project management, with at least 3 years in a training or instructional role.
    • Skills:
      • Expertise in program management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Line of Balance, Subcontracts).
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with learners.
      • Analytical skills to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
    • Attributes: Passionate about coaching, adaptable to different learning styles, and committed to fostering professional development.

    Desired Qualifications

    • A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, Agile Certified Practitioner) are highly preferred.
    • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
    • Proficiency in instructional design and e-learning platforms
    • Familiarity with tools like MS Project, Jira, or Asana is a plus.

    Citizenship Requirements:

    Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
