This position ensures high service and supports a cost effective and Compliance based Pharmacy Supply Chain (PSC) network, including PDA, CF1 and CF2. Fulfills SOM responsibilities by identifying and investigating suspicious activity that may compromise the legitimacy of daily orders prior to fulfillment. Defines, develops and reports on Supply Chain compliance and efficiency within the PSC Organization.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manages Suspicious Order Monitoring responsibilities by monitoring customer purchases using a variety of reporting tools to identify and, when necessary, report suspicious orders to comply with state and federal laws.
  • Identifies and works with retail pharmacies to substantiate orders of unusual size and/or frequency, and those deviating substantially from a normal pattern.
  • Reviews and analyzes automation system performance and establishes model/methodology to ensure satisfactory realization of the system requirements, including data integrity and validation. Authority to hold automation system vendor accountable for system performance by establishing a support fee holdback program.
  • Using system data, prepares or directs the preparation and implementation of PSC growth plans to achieve best in class PDA and CF utilization rates.
  • Monitors Central Fill automation provider performance and drives for improvement and increased CF utilization.
  • Develops and recommends to the business various supply chain design scenarios to optimize the PSC network use.
  • Effectively manages and negotiates with key stakeholders across the pharmacy supply chain to drive change and results.
  • Intuitive ability to recognize innovative opportunities that could be applied to PSC and benefit Meijer retail pharmacies. Identifies cost efficiencies and analyzes current best in class business practices.
  • Integrates the actions required of each of the 3 PSC operations into a comprehensive operations plan in support of or to be incorporated into and achieve overall capital and financial plans.
  • Conducts analysis on key performance indicators, identifies opportunities for improvement, determines root cause and develops plan to resolve. Leads from opportunity to resolution.
  • Leads team in absence of a manager; leads other SC analysts within distribution as needed.

What You'll Bring with You:

  • Bachelor degree of Business Administration or Supply Chain.
  • 5 years of experience in Pharmacy Analytics.
  • Significant systems experience and understanding, including Pharmacy specific systems.
  • Knowledge of supply chain best practices within the retail and pharmacy industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership and expertise that inspires confidence in teams.
  • Office computer skills, able to learn company systems and tools, preference for Microsoft application experience.
  • Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office, primarily MS Excel and Access Database. Successful candidates will have a strong curiosity to exploring new data sources and tools. Experience with HVS, SBMO/PDX and Previous SQL or other coding experience preferred.
