You're a skilled Preventative Maintenance Mechanic who takes pride in keeping mining equipment running safely and efficiently. You understand the importance of routine maintenance and inspections, and you're confident operating service trucks and managing essential supplies. You work closely with mechanics and production teams to coordinate service activities, and you're always ready to lend a hand with repairs. Essential Responsibilities: Conduct routine preventative maintenance on heavy machinery at a surface mining site Perform equipment inspections, document necessary repairs, and assist in scheduling maintenance Safely and efficiently operate a fuel/service truck Help manage inventory of service kits, lubricants, oils, and other essential supplies Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to coordinate service activities Provide support to mechanics during equipment repairs Communicate clearly and professionally with team members Promote a culture of safety and productivity by adhering to all company, client, and regulatory safety standards Qualifications: Minimum of one year of experience in heavy equipment maintenance Familiarity with servicing and parts for Caterpillar, Hitachi, and Komatsu machinery Valid drivers license MSHA Part 48 certification for metal/nonmetal mining (training available if certification needs to be obtained or renewed) Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening Work Conditions: Overtime availability required Additional Information Ledcor Heavy Civil and Mining services reach across the lifespan of a mine, from facility construction, to full-scale contract mining of coal, minerals, or metals, all the way to mine reclamation.
