We are seeking a Senior Sustainability Manager to join our team at our Los Angeles, CA office. As a Senior Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for driving our carbon reduction strategy. Please note, this is an onsite role 4 days a week.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Current duties may be changed if the job requires, and/or additional duties may be assigned if necessary.




  • Lead corporate wide carbon reduction strategy including evaluation of VPPA and REC options
  • Identify and implement energy efficiency projects in alignment with 2030 carbon reduction target
  • Collaborate with the CSR team and cross functional leads to establish project goals, cost, projected energy savings, and return on investment
  • Serve as a point of contact for teams and leadership to ensure projects are implemented within established timelines and within budget
  • Ensure compliance with evolving regulations related to energy, water, waste, and refrigerant use
  • Apply for sustainability grants, incentives, and various other funding sources where available
  • Work with waste consultants to maximize waste diversion opportunities
  • Evaluate new technologies to understand their potential applications, limitations, benefits, and costs
  • Support bakery teams with annual Earth Day celebrations



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Engineer, with 5+ years of working experience
  • Strong knowledge of energy efficiency principals and decarbonization strategies
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Proficient in working with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to travel within the United States and Canada
  • Ability to travel 25%, depending on demand



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing or CPG strongly preferred
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification obtained through the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) preferred
  • Effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills, able to provide clear feedback and collaborate across all levels and functions
  • Highly organized individual who can prioritize tasks and complete multiple simultaneous projects on deadlines, pay great attention to detail, and have strong quantitative abilities
  • Resourceful and solutions-oriented, comfortable navigating ambiguity, solving problems independently, and thriving in both in-person and mobile work settings


Salary Range: $108,000-$144,000
