The role is based in Cedar Rapids, IA (onsite). IFF Health & Biosciences is looking for a detail-oriented quality intern who will provide laboratory support for a biotechnology manufacturing facility

Where You'll Make a Difference

• Providing analytical results to the operations teams

• Prepare buffers, substrates, and medias for assays

• Aliquot standards and controls

• Help support in process and release testing for standard tests such as appearance, conductivity, pH, %DS, turbidity, color, etc.

• Basic data analysis

• Data entry and reporting of results

• Support lab maintenance requirements - restocking of supplies, etc.

• Practice proper lab hygiene and follow all safety, ISO, HACCP, GMP, Kosher, and Halal requirements.

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in microbiology, biotechnology, chemistry, or related field.

• High level of initiative

• High attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures exactly as written

• Strong interpersonal / communication skills

• Intermediate math skills and a basic understanding of statistics

• Computer proficiency - Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook knowledge required, LIMS and SAP knowledge would be a plus but not required

• Have the right to work in the U.S. without restriction
