Reporting to the Vice Provost for Academic Personnel (VPAP), the Administrative Officer leads the administrative functions of the Academic Personnel Office (APO). This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and continuity of the office's internal operations and external engagements, and aligning them with the unit's strategic plan. Acting as a primary liaison between the VPAP, APO staff, campus partners, and external stakeholders, the Administrative Officer facilitates high-level collaboration and communication across multiple constituencies. The Administrative Officer provides executive-level support to the VPAP and leads the planning and execution of complex administrative, financial, and operational functions, including procurement, travel, and resource management. In addition, the role encompasses strategic oversight of key aspects of office initiatives, such as faculty development programs, institutional events, and special projects, helping to ensure they are executed with precision and aligned with broader academic and organizational priorities. This role requires a degree of autonomy, discretion, and sound judgment, particularly in managing competing priorities, navigating sensitive issues, and making independent decisions that directly impact the operations. The Administrative Officer serves as a trusted advisor and operational strategist, contributing to the long-term success and mission of the Academic Personnel Office.

The full salary range for the Administrative Officer is $73,600 - $133,200 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $85,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
