Assistant Funeral Home Director

This is a unique opportunity for someone who excels in a quiet, respectful setting and is comfortable supporting families during sensitive times.

Pay: $15 - $20/hour | Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 8 AM - 5 PM

As the Assistant Funeral Home Director, you'll play a critical role in ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly, offering both administrative and service support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Answering phone calls, recording and relaying messages, and managing communication from the answering service
• Scheduling appointments and managing the Funeral Director's calendar
• Communicating effectively via email and in person with families and vendors
• Entering client data and service details into internal systems
• Creating and editing obituaries for family approval
• Coordinating with vendors and confirming arrangements
• Assisting in the creation of Life Celebration materials
• Supporting setup and breakdown of wake and funeral services
• Keeping the facility clean, presentable, and welcoming for walk-in clients

Who We're Looking For:

• Compassionate and professional demeanor
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable using Mac computers and email systems
• Ability to multitask and maintain discretion in a sensitive environment
• Well-organized and reliable with a polished appearance
• Previous administrative or customer-facing experience preferred
