| What to Expect A facilities maintenance electrician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems within Tesla R&D facilities, and this includes troubleshooting electrical issues, installing new wiring or fixtures, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and in addition to managing maintenance schedules, planning and executing complex electrical projects, collaborating with other departments, and providing expertise in troubleshooting intricate electrical issues. You must be willing to work across all of our main East Bay and Peninsula locations. Shift: 11:30PM - 7:30AM; Monday - FridayWhat You'll Do
 
  Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and installs electrical equipment utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skillsOperate, diagnose, analyze and repair industrial equipment such as boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, pumps, chillers, air handling units, electric doors, overhead cranes and exhaust ventilation systemSelf-directed with the ability to be resourceful, plan and organize workPerforms daily general maintenance duties such as preventive maintenance, trouble calls and emergency maintenance as needed and assignedOccasionally work on projects running conduit, pulling wire and connecting devices utilizing lifts and laddersUses complex electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and correct problemsDevelop equipment SOPs and Preventive Maintenance programWhat You'll Bring
 
  Minimum 8+ years related work experience asan Industrial or Facilities electrician with ability to use hand tools, electrical meterse, and testing equipmentExperience in handling low to high voltage up to 480 VACStrong knowledge of switchgears, trouble shooting of motor controls, drives and electronic componentsAbility to interpret electrical prints and schematics; understanding of Drives and PLC is a plusProficient with computer and mobile devicesValid Driver's License requiredWillingness to contribute to emergencies and operations that may be outside of their normal skill set, such as restroom repairs and other work unfamiliar to the candidateCompensation and Benefits
