Position Overview
Primary Purpose of Position |
This position provides support to the Associate Vice Chancellor and the Executive Assistant of the Comptroller-Accounting office. This position performs a variety of basic administrative, clerical and office support duties for the accounting office. This position has knowledge of office and work unit policies and procedures, and communicates information pertaining to the accounting office functions, and services. Duties performed include preparation of documents and reports; using office technology; compiling records; organizing and maintaining files; logging check information and mailing checks out to appropriate vendors, distributing travel cards to appropriate personnel, posting information; greeting, referring, and assisting visitors, students, faculty, staff and others; answering phones; scheduling the conference room for meetings and events; assist with supply orders, distributing mail, and photocopying and any other assigned duties.
Provide customer service to students, faculty, and vendors regarding accounting queries
- Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures
- Support data entry and reporting activities using relevant accounting system
The primary purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive administrative and office support to the Accounting Office within the Division of Business and Finance. The role ensures efficient operations through clerical duties, records management, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. |
Primary Function of Organizational Unit |
The Comptroller/Accounting Office at North Carolina A&T State University is seeking an administrative support to oversee administrative departmental tasks and projects. The Administrative Support oversees administrative aspects of the department. It is expected that the Administrative Support will manage answering phone calls, as well as provide administrative support for the department. This position reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Comptroller and is expected to interface with vendors, students, visitors, faculty and staff. This person will work in conjunction with the Executive Assistant for the oversight of administrative aspects to the department. |
