Job Summary
The Business Project Manager II is responsible for leading large-scale new business implementations that support organizational growth and client success. This role serves as the primary liaison between internal teams and external clients, ensuring timely, high-quality execution of all deliverables. Lead large-scale business implementation projects with multiple deliverables and cross-functional team members.
Serve as the main point of contact for external clients, ensuring project goals, timelines, and deliverables are met.
Facilitate strategy and planning sessions with clients and internal stakeholders to identify actionable business solutions.
Develop full-scale project plans, timelines, and communication materials, including client-facing documentation.
Identify project risks and issues, create mitigation strategies, and drive resolution of open items.
Manage expectations of subject matter experts and stakeholders, escalating concerns when necessary.
Conduct meetings and presentations (virtual or in-person) in a professional and polished manner.
Build and maintain strong business relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Document key business decisions, obtain stakeholder approvals, and maintain thorough project records.
Lead post-project reviews to gather lessons learned and recommend process improvements for future implementations.
Ensure all project deliverables meet business, regulatory, and quality standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably within the healthcare insurance industry.
Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional business projects and client implementations.
Strong client-facing skills with a polished, professional presence.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with ETL data processes and business readiness planning.
Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and other Microsoft-based tools.
PMP certification preferred but not required.
Demonstrated ability to lead collaborative teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Ability to influence, motivate, and foster a positive team environment.
Must be able to adapt to evolving business needs and work effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Education
Work Experience
At least 5 years of relevant project management experience with direct client engagement.
Experience in healthcare insurance or provider network development strongly preferred.
Candidates with purely technical project management backgrounds may not be a strong fit for this role.
Additional Job Details
Location: Remote.
Interview Process: Two to three panel interviews, including team and leadership participants.
The role involves managing external client relationships and requires a professional and polished demeanor at all times.
Project initiation begins on November 12.
