We are excited to be recruiting new talent to join our growing and innovative team - a Mid-Level Network Engineer! This position works with the AV Engineering department by ensuring network design requirements within the AV design specifications are met according to customer requirements on-site. This is a new position, and you will be bringing valuable experience to an already well-established team.

As a Mid-Level Network Engineer at AV3, Inc., you will play a crucial role in our mission to deliver top-notch AV solutions. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between AV and IT, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of our systems. You will work closely with both internal teams and clients to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. This role requires a forward-thinking approach and the ability to adapt to the rapidly evolving technology landscape.

The responsibilities of this role may include:

  • Converses with customer and Senior Engineer to plan layout and configuration of network equipment
  • Lead the design and architecture of the client's wired and wireless network as it relates to the project scope, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security
  • Reads and studies blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine what installation techniques to use
  • Installs or oversees installation of network equipment according to manufacturer's specifications and clients' requirements
  • Operates system to demonstrate equipment and to analyze performance gaps.
  • Interprets maintenance manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing network knowledge and experience
  • Performs network switch configurations to support DANTE, AVB, AES 67, and AV over IP
  • Possess the capability to interpret network switch logs and troubleshoot irregular network traffic, and troubleshoot all network issues
  • Uses computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to assist in the development of audio-visual designs
  • Instructs and directs other Technicians onsite as required
  • Instruct customers on the operation of network systems
  • Consults with engineering personnel and manufacturers to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance
  • Advises management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements

The qualifications for this position include:

  • A HS Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related discipline is preferred), a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification, and three (3) years of relevant work experience
  • Audio Visual (AV) experience is a plus
  • Ability to communicate technical information and ideas
  • Demonstrated interpersonal/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot, research and solve technically challenging problems
  • Able to translate complex information into simple explanations
  • Ability to recognize various stakeholder perspectives, facilitate collaborative discussions and ensure that recommendations are made based on the best interests of the organization
  • Ability to accept responsibility for leadership, direction, control, planning, negotiating, organizing, directing, supervising, formulating practices, or making decisions
  • Ability to maintain in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, guidelines, technology trends
  • Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance
  • Must possess the ability to travel within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS). This position requires the ability to travel up to 40% of the time

Pay Range

$75,000 - $110,000 per year

The above pay range represents a general guideline; however, AV3, Inc. considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
