Overview

Tatitlek provides Information Technology Operations and Maintenance Support (ITO&MS) for the BEP's Chief Information Officer (CIO) Directorate's Office; Office of Information Technology Operations (OITO) in support of BEP's printing services mission. These services are provided 24/7. Personnel are responsible for providing an effective, efficient, and proactive approach to managing, supporting, securing, and maintaining the BEP IT network infrastructure and systems to ensure a sustainable, efficient, effective, and highly reliable environment for government employees and contractors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Responsible for installing, updating, patching, removing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all existing and future installations of Red Hat Linux servers.
  • The number of Linux Red Hat devices are expected to increase, the quantity could increase by as much as 50% over the next few years depending on BEP's business needs.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, collaborate with teams to determine highest value tasks, and implement automation solutions to reduce manhours on routine tasks.
  • Improving efficiency, accuracy, and speed in business processes, ultimately leading to increased productivity and reduced costs.
  • Responsible for the performance, equipment reliability, uptime percentage, design, development, and optimization of automation systems, and processes to improve production efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Monitor and report on network utilization, resource consumption, and performance metrics to optimize software performance.
  • Provide customers with seamless transitions to leading edge solutions which meet security requirements.
  • Provide operations and maintenance for development and test environments and provide specialized support for mission specific systems and applications.
  • Work closely with product, operations, and engineering teams within the organization to understand requirements and translate them into scalable automation solutions.
  • Continuously research and explore new testing tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance the overall testing process.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator, Red Hat Certified Systems. Administrator (RHCSA) or Preferred Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
  • At least four (4) years of experience administering and maintaining Linux Operating Systems.
  • Experience with Linux on a virtualized platform (Nutanix, VMWare or Microsoft Hyper-V) is preferred.
  • Preferred experience as Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation.
  • Preferred experience as Red Hat Certified Specialist in Microsoft Windows Automation with Ansible.
  • H.S Diploma or GED.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have a clear background with no derogatory financial history.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government clearance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs. Must possess good vision and hearing capabilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Must be able to work on-site at the Washington DC facility. Remote work is not authorized. Work is performed in a normal office setting. Ability to work off hours and/or weekends in emergency situations.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States are required.
