Manufacturing DOT Driver

Position Summary and Responsibilities:
The Manufacturing DOT Driver is responsible for ensuring complete, accurate, and on-time deliveries from the manufacturing division to designated distribution points.

• Ensure the safe, accurate, and timely transport of products between company locations and designated facilities. Responsible for pulling, staging, and loading orders onto trailers in a timely manner.
• Report mechanical problems, delays, accidents or other traffic situations to management as needed.
• Maintain records, including vehicle logs, cargo and/or billing statements in accordance with BEK policies.
• Communicate and report any order discrepancies or delivery concerns. Immediately communicate issues or problems that may affect transportation operations to the supervisor by phone.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection.
• Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions for navigation and delivery.
• Manage multiple assignments and tasks, ensuring appropriate use of time, equipment, and materials.

Job Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required with at least 1 year of driving experience.
• Must know and adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Must be able lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to read and write English
• Basic math skills required
• Ability to understand regulatory guidelines
• Knowledge of customer service principles and quality standards
• Ability to use Manufacturing Enterprise Resource Planning Software
• Excellent verbal and written skills
