In this role, you will work as a strategic consultant to FedEx business domains, serving as a subject matter expert, providing thought leadership and pushing business leaders to identify out-of-the-box opportunities that drive progress within the P&L. You will play a vital role in defining and advancing the organization's strategies and initiatives to deliver value, ensuring that the right level of rigor and visibility is provided for desired outcomes. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to brainstorm solutions and influence business decisions using a fact-based approach, take new ideas from concept to execution, and communicate with key stakeholders.

Essential Functions:

  • Strategic Oversight & Execution - Independently leads the management of large-scale, high-impact programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Problem Resolution & Risk Management - Identifies and mitigates challenges, proactively escalating risks and obstacles while driving solutions to maintain momentum.
  • Program Planning & Ownership - Develops and executes comprehensive program strategies, defining goals, objectives, and success metrics for long-term impact.
  • Value Optimization & Financial Rigor - Assesses initiatives to ensure optimal value delivery, applying the appropriate level of strategic and financial oversight.
  • Operational Excellence & Execution Frameworks - Establishes and enforces program management and operating model standards, ensuring efficient execution and accelerated delivery.
  • Executive Reporting & Strategic Insights - Synthesize complex information to develop data-driven reports and presentations that provide leadership with visibility into program progress, risks, roadblocks, and key successes, translating insights into long-term action.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Influence - Builds trusted relationships with senior leaders, driving alignment, transparency, and collaboration across business functions.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement - Drives a culture of innovation, identifying opportunities to optimize processes, enhance execution, and maximize organizational effectiveness

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related discipline.

Minimum Experience

Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in business operations, transportation, logistics, or related fields, with leadership experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Previous experience with and knowledge of the FedEx Operating Model and Planview is considered a plus
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and planning skills
  • Strong human relations and communications skills
  • Understanding of business management and operational supply chain management
  • Strong executive presence and experience working with leadership
  • *Previous experience at a business strategy consulting firm is considered a plus.

Domicile Information:

This role is remote/hybrid. Candidates located within a 50-mile radius of Memphis, TN, Plano, TX, or Pittsburgh, PA are expected to be hybrid.

Preferred Qualifications:

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: $8,007.29/month - $12,533.14/month
