Position Summary:

Ensures all aspects of the distribution center operates efficiently. Ensures all customer orders are processed, sales and customer service requests followed. Manpower properly planned and budget/cost levels met. The Supervisor, Warehouse Distribution will be used to groom or prepare for future leadership positions by creating area leads with a broad base of distribution knowledge.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties



  • Supervises distribution center operations throughout shipping and receiving docking activates; loading, unloading, packing and storage functions.
  • Determines space requirements and coordinates storage, delivery and distribution scheduling.
  • Evaluates and maintains workplace safety procedures through audits and reporting.
  • Assesses equipment maintenance needs that will prolong the efficiency and life of machines.
  • Ensures proper documentation of maintenance services.
  • Supports departmental planning, budgeting and staffing for logistic excellence.Supports special projects as needed.
  • Coordinates cross-functionally with administrative, technical and labor professionals.
  • Responsible for personnel actions including (but not limited to) hiring, performance management and termination.

  • Requires full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field. Uses standard theories, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.
  • Provides direct or supervision to a group of employees, assigning tasks and checking work at frequent intervals. Accountabilities include work and people scheduling, performance management and recommendations for hiring decisions.
  • Judgement is required in resolving all day-to-day problems.
  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers. Frequent contact with external contractors/vendors.


Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc

Required:



  • Associate's or technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • 02-04 years related experience required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Valid driver's license and passport, Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed.
