What this job involves:

Join JLL's workplace technology team as an Audio Visual Technician, where you'll be the technical expert ensuring flawless meeting experiences for internal teams, clients, and C-level executives. This role combines hands-on AV technical expertise with exceptional customer service, supporting mission-critical business communications and events across corporate facilities. You'll contribute directly to JLL's commitment to delivering seamless workplace experiences by maintaining cutting-edge meeting room technology and providing real-time support that enables productive collaboration. As a proactive technology professional, you'll master complex AV systems while creating memorable experiences that enhance client satisfaction and support business continuity in our fast-paced corporate environment.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Meeting Room Preparation & Setup: Configure rooms per specific requirements including table/chair arrangements, AV equipment deployment, cabling setup, and daily schedule posting while maintaining strict safety protocols
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Respond to real-time AV equipment requests, diagnose and repair technical issues with projectors, video conferencing systems, microphones, and control systems while escalating complex issues through proper channels
  • Equipment Maintenance & Inspections: Conduct daily and weekly facility inspections, document findings via QR code surveys, perform preventive maintenance on AV assets, and maintain accurate inventory records in tracking databases
  • Video Conference Operations: Provide VIP-level support for pre-arranged video calls, respond to Cisco vendor assistance requests, coordinate service calls, and ensure seamless connectivity for critical business communications
  • Asset Management & Inventory Control: Maintain comprehensive AV inventory records, manage spare equipment and meeting supplies, track room assets, and ensure optimal equipment availability across all meeting spaces
  • Special Events Coordination: Execute setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, linens, and AV equipment for special events while managing shared equipment pools and coordinating logistics for large-scale gatherings
  • Administrative & Reporting Functions: Run room setup reports, manage scheduling administration (bookings, changes, deletions), participate in team meetings, complete required training, and generate customized administrative reports
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with minimum 2 years of experience in AV support, meeting room setup, and technical equipment operation
  • Demonstrated expertise with audio visual equipment including projectors, flat screens, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, video cameras, and room control systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with advanced Excel capabilities for creating customized administrative reports and data management
  • Experience with conferencing platforms including MS Teams and Cisco Webex for troubleshooting and user support
  • Physical capability to lift 50 pounds, setup/breakdown folding tables and chairs, and maintain active presence throughout multi-story facilities
  • Superior customer service skills with ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and work independently without direct supervision
  • Strong organizational abilities with proven capacity to multitask effectively while managing time-sensitive priorities in fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AV training certifications or technical education in audio visual systems and equipment operation
  • Experience supporting C-level executives and VIP client meetings in corporate environments
  • Knowledge of facility management work order systems and asset tracking databases
  • Basic understanding of network connectivity and data sharing equipment for meeting room technology
  • Experience coordinating with external vendors and managing service call logistics
  • Event planning or special events coordination experience in corporate settings
  • Bilingual capabilities to support diverse client populations and enhance service delivery effectiveness
