HIM Doc Imaging Practice Liaison

HIM Document Imaging Coordinator supports the HIM Doc Imaging Satellite operations, responsible for the guidance and support of outpatient practice centers Document Management processes. The HIM Document Imaging Coordinator provides orientation and ongoing training to the Satellite staff and new practice sites. This role is integral to Satellite rotational coverage support in the outpatient practices as needed. Supports the execution of quality assurance activities in the Document Imaging division of Health Information Management to ensure processes are working correctly and documentation is being accurately scanned and indexed.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Coordinates training and onboarding of new practice sites as needed.
    Proactively supports designated practices sites to ensure compliance with established Doc Imaging
    workflows and ensure optimal customer service.

    3. Coordinates and leads training initiatives for end-users on technical competencies as required.
    4. Consistently round to practice sites to ensure HIM support is visible to practice managers and staff.
    Assess, trouble-shoot and execute solutions to practice concerns; keep manager apprised of issues on an
    ongoing basis.

    Serve as subject matter expert in quality functions, review process, and system functions for both centralized
    and decentralized operational areas.
    6.
    7. Monitor work queues and update assignment logs to ensure TAT are being met.
    Provide system support to Solarity users troubleshooting and escalating system concerns to HIM Document
    Imaging leadership as needed.
    8.
    9. Generate error reports and prepare quality Score Card for bi-weekly manager review and follow-up with staff.
    10. Compile performance metric scores for review operators on a bi-weekly basis.
    11. Provides support for monthly retrospective audits on new or existing service lines as assigned.
    12. Participates in HIM Doc Imaging leadership meetings to collaborate on workflow optimizations.
    13. Provide support for review and Quality functions as needed.
    14. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred; formalized training in Health Information
Management a plus.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum two (2) years' experience in document management and working specifically with medical record document imaging process required. Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and responding to system related issues involving scanning software.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Excellent understanding of HIM compliance standards and document management forms and policies. Demonstrated understanding of document imaging software and scanning equipment to be able to trouble shoot issues with quality Must possess analytical skills necessary to perform quality assurance audits on HIM Tech; demonstrated excellence in customer service skills.

ACCOUNTABILITY
Responsible for operational stabilization and support across Satellite and Hospital locations. Supports quality
assurance workflow. Uses a variety of computer software products to assess accuracy of patient data. Makes
corrections in document management system when appropriate.
