The Test Accommodations Coordinator supports the Accommodations Department, contributes to the accommodations request and review process, and communicates with potential, current, and past applicants for accommodated testing on the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE). Requests for accommodations are submitted by candidates with physical or mental impairments including, but not limited to, learning disorders, attention disorders, visual impairments, physical impairments, and neurological disorders. The Coordinator assists MPRE candidates with application questions and provides support in order to ensure the efficient processing of candidate test accommodation requests. The person in this position is responsible for the handling of confidential and time-sensitive material.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Communicates with applicants and other internal and external accommodations stakeholders via phone and email.
  • Assists candidates in accessing webpages, online test accommodations application, and correspondence.
  • Assists with improvements to online application and processes, testing updates to the online application system, and tasks relating to accommodated testing implementation plans.
  • Reviews accommodations requests and make decisions after an assessment.
  • Attends meetings and educational seminars related to testing candidates with disabilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Familiarity with the Americans with Disability Act preferred
  • Training and/or experience in high-stakes testing, professional certification, special education, psychology, or a related field is preferred (including familiarity with instruments designed to measure the scope, effect, and extent of an individual's functional limitations).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure of strict deadlines.



The Coordinator is a Madison-based position and may work a hybrid remote schedule after a successful onboarding period.
