Business Summary

Job Summary: Deltek is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Principal of Data Strategy Operations to support the strategic vision of data management and utilization of trusted customer data across the organization to enable business outcomes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering a mission critical data quality framework and operating model which will monitor, and control standardized critical customer data, fostering a culture of data collaboration, and enabling data quality across the company. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in data governance, customer journey operations, cross-functional business engagement, data quality processes and people change management.

Position Responsibilities

* Data Quality Requirements, Process & Standards: Lead and/or partner in E2E discovery to Identify critical data assets and establish data quality processes for their management. Proactively drive global and cross functional data quality collaboration resulting in process alignment, data quality standards and requirements.
* Data Governance, Data Quality AI & Remediation Process: Establish and drive a comprehensive E2E data remediation process leveraging automated workflows, digital data stewards (AI) and proactive engagement and accountability with cross functional data stewards empowering them to follow best practices, own and be responsible for critical customer journey data assets. Be the Data Quality Champion as necessary within the data council.
* Data Quality Metrics and Data Strategy Business Prioritization: Establish, Monitor and report data quality metrics ensuring that we can effectively track ROI investments and data strategy value add. Develop and manage data strategy backlog tracking leveraging a new data strategy intake and business prioritization framework that will enable central visibility and recommendations on the next areas of focus iteratively.
* Data Literacy Enablement: Play a core role in promoting data literacy across the organization by providing training and engagement to enhance employees' understanding and use of data, thereby increasing the value of data and business outcomes.

Key Achievements:
* Increase the quality of data to enable business transformation and innovation, to make it easier for employees to deliver exceptional customer experiences and growth.
* Successfully collaborate in the harmonization and migration/conversion of customer data, eliminating redundant or duplicative data, and simplify data user experiences within business applications and tools.
* Transform legacy data operational processes across the enterprise to automate manual and administrative tasks, alleviating business and system constraints, and enable ease of data access to create insights.
* Drive cross-functional data process and quality engagement to support scalable business growth, with a focus on change management and delivering positive customer experience.
* Effectively measure business outcomes for data strategy initiatives, data quality and data strategy prioritization.

Qualifications


  • Proven experience in data strategy and management initiatives within the technology and/or software industry, with a focus on improving foundational customer and product data standards, and data utilization within a large organization (5,000+ employees).
  • Business operations experience in customer processes, back-office finance processes, and managing data quality in enterprise-wide transformation programs.
  • 5+ years' experience in data governance and data quality.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in driving change management and fostering a data-driven culture.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with customer journey management, data process, and business transformation.
  • Experience engaging with global and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and collaboration.
  • Solid experience with Data flows, data transformation, data management tools, CRM/ERP systems, EDW data intelligence platforms and business intelligence tools (ex. Power BI).

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in SaaS technology B2B companies.
* Data Storytelling & Visualization.
  • Experience in software development and design, particularly in roles related to business process analysis, data quality and transformational change.
  • Degree in business administration, marketing, operations, information systems or a related field.
  • 10-15+ years professional experience, of increasing responsibility with direct data, data process and data quality management.

Compensation Information

The U.S. salary range for this position is $98000.00-$171500.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
