About the Finance team:

We are currently searching for a Revenue Accountant to join the finance team. Working closely with the corporate and divisional finance teams, the Revenue Accountant will have responsibility to ensure accurate recording of all revenue related transactions and compliance of such transactions with revenue recognition accounting guidelines in accordance with ASC 606. The Revenue Accountant will also be responsible for accounting for deferred revenue, monthly account reconciliations for deferred revenue, unbilled revenue and accounts receivable, and providing accurate analyses of customer and sales metrics to both Sales and Finance management.

This position will be at our Westford, MA headquarters or our alternate office located in Allen, TX.

Basic Qualifications/Skills:



  • Process and reconcile daily transactions.
  • Review executed revenue contracts and agreements to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with GAAP.
  • Enforce internal control procedures relating to automated systems maintenance and (manual) record keeping and documentation requirements.
  • Assist with month-end close reconciliations related to unbilled receivables, accounts receivable and deferred revenue accounts.
  • Prepare various ad hoc reports and other special projects for management as requested.
  • Prepare recurring and period-end journal entries.
  • Assist with analysis to establish Standalone Selling Price for product and service offerings.
  • Prepare quarterly reporting schedules required by Corporate Accounting for financial statement disclosures.
  • Assist in testing the ERP system for new enhancements and upgrades as required.
  • Participate in the annual audit with the external Audit firm.

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel and Word
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and proactive thinker; high degree of ownership
  • Flexible, organized and able to handle competing priorities



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is required,
  • 2- 4 years of accounting experience; revenue experience is a plus
  • Large ERP experience required; Oracle and RevStream experience is a plus


  • Previous software industry/public company experience preferred
