Senior Grid Operations Specialist PGE is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Grid Operations Specialist to join our EDAM implementation team. This role is critical to enhancing PGE's day ahead reliability assessment activities which set up the balancing authority's ability to monitor and ensure compliance of all load-serving entities with EDAM requirements prior to the market run which will flow into real time. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in grid operations and experience with resource configuration. As a Track 3 Support Specialist, you will support the configuration of grid resources, oversee real-time monitoring, and collaborate on systems integration and testing to ensure seamless alignment with CAISO's market framework. You will support coordination for resource sufficiency compliance in EDAM. Your contributions will be key to maintaining operational integrity, ensuring compliance, and supporting PGE's strategic goals for market participation. Sr Grid Operations Specialist Responsibilities and Achievements: - Support various projects and real time performance and process improvements as a Grid Operations subject matter expert. Train operators, perform data analysis, compile presentations, learn systems and share operations strategies throughout PGE. Key Responsibilities of the Track 3 Support Role: Monitoring and Compliance: Support the balancing authority in monitoring all load-serving entities to ensure compliance with EDAM requirements. This includes tracking resource performance, verifying that entities meet market obligations, and identifying any discrepancies or non-compliance issues. Operational Oversight: Assist in the development and implementation of processes to enhance the balancing authority's visibility and control over participating entities. Provide expertise in grid operations to ensure that all resources are configured correctly and operate within the parameters set by EDAM. Systems Integration and Testing: Collaborate with the integration and testing teams to ensure that all systems related to load-serving entities are properly integrated and tested within the EDAM framework. This includes validating that system interfaces and data exchanges support accurate monitoring and compliance activities. Data Validation and Reporting: Ensure that all data related to load-serving entities is accurate, up-to-date, and reflective of real-time operations. Provide regular reports and insights to the balancing authority, highlighting areas of compliance, potential risks, and opportunities for operational improvements. Coordination with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal teams, including grid operators and compliance specialists, as well as external stakeholders such as CAISO, to ensure alignment on EDAM requirements and performance expectations. Facilitate communication and collaboration to address any issues promptly. Testing Support and Readiness: Ensure that resource configurations are validated through joint integration testing, market simulation, and parallel operations phases. Address any configuration issues promptly to avoid testing delays. Education/Experience/Certifications: Education: Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, information systems or relevant field of study or equivalent experience. Experience: Typically, eight or more years in Balancing Authority and/or Transmission Operator real-time operations. Compensation Range: $99,975.00 - $197,375.00Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
