Environmental Maintenance Supervisor | Full-Time | Litchfield, MN.

The Environmental Supervisor is responsible for supervising all maintenance, housekeeping and laundry staff while maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, guests and team members.

Ecumen of Litchfield is hiring an Environmental Supervisor. Ecumen of Litchfield consists of 56 assisted living apartments and 14 additional residences for seniors requiring memory care. Ecumen also offers independent living, adult day services, hospice, and homecare all within the Litchfield, MN area.

Schedule: Full-Time. Primary Hours Monday - Friday 8a - 4:30p. On Call Rotation every 3 weeks. Leader on Duty Rotation.

Pay: The targeted pay range for this job is $27.00 - $34.00 per hour. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities:



  1. Hires, trains and supervises maintenance, housekeeping and laundry staff to meet regulations and established departmental standards.
  2. Develops and maintains external vendor relationships for all maintenance, custodial, grounds, housekeeping services and for monitoring all nonmedical contractors hired to perform services on the premises.
  3. Prepares and manages annual departmental budget.
  4. Ensures community property complies with all appropriate regulations including local, state, and federal laws.
  5. Develops and maintains facility maintenance and/or programs.
  6. Performs regular preventative maintenance and repairs as required throughout property.
  7. Coordinates and trains all team members in building safety procedures, including in-services on the premises.
  8. Manages inventory control for all supplies used within department and orders supplies as needed.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.



Driving Requirements: Local Travel and Driver's License Required

Minimum Required Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous maintenance experience
  • Boiler operator's license in states where one is required, at the minimum horsepower class as designated by the governing state for the boilers on site or eligible within 6 months of hire
  • Valid Drivers License, proof of insurance and satisfactory motor vehicle record
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Technical college
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Previous experience working in a senior care environment
