Pay:

GroundsPRO offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 annually, but actual compensation will vary depending upon new hire experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.

Role Overview:

The Landscape Manager is responsible for exceeding customer expectations through effective management of financial resources and personnel. This position requires coordination of materials, people, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure job site quality meets standards. The Landscape Manager will work closely with Account Managers and Operation Managers to identify staffing needs, perform hiring duties, and prepare daily crew schedules. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, error and accident-free environment. The Landscape Manager must master the requirements of each position in landscape maintenance and snow management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate team strengths and limitations, mentor Crew Leaders, and foster a cohesive team to ensure quick response to client expectations and quality production.
  • Communicate job expectations, mentor Crew Leaders in building long-term client relationships, and ensure contract obligations and quality standards are fulfilled.
  • Ensure quality standards are met by all team members, manage equipment maintenance, and enforce safety procedures and policies.
  • Monitor and analyze productivity, manage direct costs, and ensure profitability by controlling extra billable work.
  • Develop and maintain schedules, pre-plan and order materials, and ensure contract compliance.
  • Conduct timely annual performance evaluations and personnel development strategies.
  • Provide support to team members in performing and completing all client projects.
  • Implement procedures and processes, coordinate routine and long-term tasks, and optimize job locations, equipment allocation, and crew skills.
  • Understand project costs and manage hiring processes to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree (or equivalent) or 4 years of experience in landscape installation preferred.
  • Knowledge of horticultural practices, plant identification, and relevant certifications in Landscape Hardscapes, Softscapes, and Irrigation.
  • Strong verbal, written, and reading comprehension skills in English; bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to develop strong client and employee relationships and build customer rapport.
  • Proven leadership abilities, hands-on approach to task management, and experience in personnel development.
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, and ability to meet critical deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, and Email.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance, responsive with a positive attitude and initiative, team-oriented, and a strong role model.
  • Experience in managing landscape projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
  • Ability to analyze and improve operational processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
