Shift Hours:

Monday- Friday 8am-5pm

Please note, flexibility in schedule will be required based on business needs, this can include working different hours or days.

This position is located onsite at our facility in Amarillo, TX. There is no option for remote or hybrid work.

Under general supervision of the Regional Operations Manager, the Operations Manager is primarily responsible for planning, coordinating, controlling and managing warehouse operations, delivery drivers and providing outstanding customer service to clients and their staff. The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with company, federal and state regulations.

  • Responsible for supervising the accurate and efficient process of receiving, stocking, shipping, transportation, replenishment, returns, invoicing, pharmacy and picking all classes of merchandise.
  • Present and explain sales programs and incentive programs to customers as appropriate.
  • Implements and manages the documentation, monitoring and evaluation of all customer performance measures, including critical success measures, end of month reports, duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensures compliance with all government regulations.
  • Ensures cleanliness of the facility.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable safety policies and procedures.
  • Recommends plans to improve current warehouse processes and configurations, and to improve customer service delivery to promote efficiency, faster service and lower costs.
  • Responsible for scheduling, providing appropriate resources and completing production for depot activities.
  • Maintains integrity of depot's inventory.
  • Researches transaction history to determine the source of inventory variances and order filling errors.
  • Identify, trouble shoot and resolve potential depot problems.
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with Depot associates.
  • Responsible for the selection, training and performance management for all associates; tracks and monitors daily attendance and overtime.
  • Ensure performance of facility security checks and proper functioning of depot equipment (freezers, coolers, and furnaces). Perform preventive maintenance as required.
  • Responsible for motivating and directing the work of others. This position may or may not directly supervisor other associates.
  • Conduct morning safety and informational meetings.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed, in order to meet productivity goals and customer's needs.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Normally requires a minimum of five (5) years directly related and progressively responsible experience, including at least three (3) years at a supervisory level. Previous experience in Animal Health preferred.
