FUNCTION:

The Financial Reconciliation & Operations Analyst supports CassPay's financial operations with a primary focus on transaction reconciliation, audit preparation, and process improvement. This role blends analytical work with administrative oversight-ensuring accurate financial data, maintaining critical documentation, and streamlining reconciliation procedures. Success in this position requires attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and strong collaboration across internal teams and external partners

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:



  • Performs daily financial reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Investigates and resolves discrepancies, including reviewing and correcting historical data where needed.
  • Integrates Mastercard's Remote Payment and Presentment Service (RPPS) client transactions into reconciliation processes and assists with audit readiness, including setting up confirmation protocols.
  • Supports daily financial statement reporting and manages the associated reconciliation workload.
  • Leads administrative reconciliation tasks, including maintaining documentation, creating procedures, conducting training, and managing audit-related records.
  • Executes SQL queries (prewritten) and improves reconciliation efficiency through enhanced Excel capabilities.
  • Maintains and updates Knowledge resources, including internal wiki's, FAQs, and support documentation.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to enhance workflows and financial operations.
  • Handles daily communications with Cass Commercial Bank, including processing affidavits and ensuring timely, accurate financial adjustments.
  • Other duties as needed or assigned.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:



  1. Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  2. Solid understanding of financial reconciliation processes.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; willingness to learn and execute SQL queries.
  4. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines.
  5. Experience maintaining documentation or internal knowledge bases is a plus.
  6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


MINIMUM LEVEL OF PREPARATION AND TRAINING NORMALLY REQUIRED:



  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial reconciliation, auditing or a related function.
