We've been doing what we do since 1993 in Carlsbad, California. Each year since, prAna has welcomed increasingly more people to the prAna way of life through a multi-channel strategy including our own branded stores, a robust ecommerce business, and an established wholesale distribution of over 1,400 retailers across the US, Canada, and Europe.

prAna was acquired by Columbia Sportswear Company (CSC) in June 2014 and is part of the family of brands in the CSC portfolio, including Columbia, Mountain Hardwear and Sorel. prAna is headquartered in Carlsbad, California and operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Columbia Sportswear Company.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Site Merchandiser is an operational role for prAna.com, reporting to the Site Merchandising Manager. This role blends the art and science of ecommerce to bring our product to life online. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams-including merchandising, IT, photo studio, and ecommerce operations-to ensure every style is launched on time and merchandised to inspire discovery and drive conversion. You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate product data and attribution, executing on-site merchandising, and analyzing performance to identify opportunities for continuous enhancements to the shopping experience.

Success in this role requires a strong understanding of ecommerce systems, data flow, and online shopping behavior. The ideal candidate is passionate about apparel and the online shopping experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities with ease, and brings a proactive, detail-oriented mindset. HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Merchandising Operations & Product Launches

  • Lead the end-to-end setup of product, ensuring accuracy in attribution and imagery, categorization, executing upsell strategies, and optimize overall PDP, grid and search experience

  • Be responsible for the seasonal line lists and season launch timeline, owning tracking of deliverables and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely product launches

  • Develop strong expertise in ecommerce systems, maintaining data integrity across systems (PLM, SFCC, etc.) and troubleshoot data flow issues with agility

Digital Merchandising

  • Execute seasonal merchandising strategies aligned with GTM priorities, product initiatives, and marketing channel landing page requirements

  • Merchandise categories and collections with a mobile-first mindset, optimizing for conversion and customer engagement

  • Conduct regular site audits and re-merchandise based on performance, inventory, and marketing shifts

  • Support QA testing for web flips, promotions, and site enhancements

  • Monitor and optimize on-site search experiences

Insights & Optimization

  • Monitor on-site data to refine filters, sort orders, and cross-sell opportunities

  • Produce weekly reports and share actionable insights with the DTC team

  • Conduct competitive analysis to inform site experience and merchandising strategies

  • Support a/b testing execution and contribute to ideation

YOU ARE

  • Passionate about apparel, the online shopping experience, product marketing, and consumer behavior trends

  • Tech savvy - strong computer skills in Excel and able to adapt and learn new technologies quickly and easily with drive to become an expert in system tools and data management

  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail, with ability to execute with a high level of accuracy

  • A strategic thinker and problem solver who proactively identifies opportunities for growth and finds solutions for data discrepancies, technical challenges, and process opportunities

  • Team Player with desire to build and maintain strong cross-functional working relationships with strong communication skills

  • Multi-tasker that thrives in fast-paced environments juggling multiple priorities while able to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Endlessly curious and passionate about putting the customer experience first

YOU HAVE

  • 2+ years of experience with Site Merchandising or E-Commerce operations preferred

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in relevant field (Merchandising, Marketing, Business)

  • Experience with ecommerce/merchandising platforms required, SFCC, Salsify, Shopify, or Adobe Analytics preferred

  • Proficient with Excel, writing formulas (eg: vlookup, if functions), pivot tables

  • Experience with data management required

  • Familiarity with ecommerce reporting KPIs (visits, conversion, add to cart) preferred

Salary Range: $74,600 - $124,700 *Pay decisions are determined by multiple factors, including what the market is paying, a candidate's capabilities and skills, years of experience, and internal equity.
