The Provider Recruiter provides dedicated search and placement services for Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants for Clinical Operations throughout central Virginia. The Provider Recruiter assists in assessing immediate and long-term placement needs and supports leadership in developing strategic and operational initiatives for provider recruitment, provider workforce planning and forecasting.
Identifies, develops and implements effective recruitment strategies for Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants. (other medical licensed professionals as needed) On boards Moonlighter and Locums physicians. Develops sources of qualified applicants including contacts with training programs, placement firms, current medical staff, practice administrators, vendors and medical school residency programs. Determines internet online recruiting strategies for attracting and recruiting qualified candidates. Creates job postings on the UPG website and intranet, and screens and recommends qualified applicants for interviews. Implements physician candidate tracking systems and provides weekly status updates to UPG HR leadership. Partners and consults with leadership to support strategic hiring decisions by screening and interviewing applicants, reviewing and summarizing candidate qualifications, and participating in hiring decisions. Reviews compensation plans to include guaranteed salary and RVU productivity, benefit summary, signing bonus, retention bonus, etc. with providers. Prepares offer letters and employment agreements in partnership with Legal, Clinical Operations leadership and the Clinical Department leadership. Ensures recruitment programs are in compliance with government laws and regulations. Represents and promotes UPG to prospective candidates through job fairs, employment agencies and speaking opportunities and identifies and utilizes appropriate sourcing techniques and services. Facilitates Provider onboarding and orientation programs. Administers the Provider credentialing and re-credentialing process with the UVA Clinical Staff Offices and Clinical Operations to ensure required information is disseminated in a timely and accurate manner to allow for patient care. Processes accurate and timely data into the human resource information system (HRIS) and creates reports from HRIS system including, but not limited to, candidate flow, selection and turnover. Assists in the development of the provider employment recruitment budget, and is responsible for adhering to the budget and being a good steward of UPG resources related to recruitment Serves on cross-functional teams and participates in committees as needed. Performs other assignments as requested.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience required.
Experience:
- 3 years of related experience with Provider Recruitment.
Licensure: None Skills:
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and Word applications.
- Demonstrated accuracy and efficiency with detailed and complex data.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Administrative and organizational skills with ability to multitask.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
