Transfer Station Laborer

Lakeshore Disposal, is seeking a Transfer Station Laborer for Valley County Transfer Station in Donnelly, ID!

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-5:00pm, with Rotating Saturdays, Overtime as needed

Pay Starts at:$30.00/Hour DOE

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES ANDACCOUNTABILITY:

This position is responsible for directing traffic and ensuring safe material disposal. You will assist with loading material into trailers and moving trailers around the facility. This is a support position with high performance-based career growth potential.

This is a demanding role that requires focus while working outside in the elements.

• Helping and interacting with customers
• Directing traffic & spotting
• Ensure garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material
• Operate a Loader to move materials
• Drive trucks/trailers around transfer station property
• Approaching all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner
• Various other tasks as needed
• Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a valid Driver's license and good driving record. (Class A CDL preferred.)
• At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in alabortype position.
• Experience operating equipment; loader
• Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift
• Mechanical ability a plus.
• The ability to continually lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout an 8-10 hr. shift.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects of up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of lightequipment operationand maintenance a plus.
• Dealing with occasional wildlife, due to location.
