Accountant (Fixed Assets) (P1-2053009-1)

Summary of Job Description:

The Accountant (Fixed Assets) position is responsible for maintaining and updating the Fixed Assets system by adding, disposing, and transferring assets.This position monitors the interface between the Fixed Assets system and the General Ledger.

• Job Responsibilities:
• Maintains and updates the Fixed Assets system by adding new assets and disposing and transferring existing assets. Calculates depreciation. Monitors and reconciles interface between Fixed Assets system and the General Ledger.
• Ensures that assets are properly capitalized and costs incurred are properly classified within financial statements. Maintains data within the Fixed Assets subsystem.
• Generates periodic Fixed Asset reports.
• Prepares Fixed Asset reports for audits and other departments.
• Ensures Fixed Assets folders are properly updated for tax purposes.
• Reconciles and analyzes assigned balance sheet accounts each period.
• Assists with training Accounting associates on Fixed Assets and the Asset Management system.
• Participates in special projects related to Fixed Assets and improvements as required.Proactively seeks to improve department processes.

Your background & experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with coursework in Accounting required
• Minimum three years of related experience, preferably in a retail/hospitality environment
• If hired, successful completion of annual store training
• Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
• If hired, successful completion of annual store training

Pay Range: P2 $72,500-$101,500 Annually

* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
