Position Summary: The Safety Specialist (Hazardous Work Protection) is responsible for ensuring that hazardous work activities are conducted in compliance with applicable health and safety regulations, policies, and best practices. This role supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs focused on protecting workers from chemical, physical, biological, and radiological hazards. The Safety Specialist works closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to provide technical guidance, conduct risk assessments, and implement control strategies. The specialist will Promote worksite or product safety by applying knowledge of industrial processes, mechanics, chemistry, psychology, and industrial health and safety laws. Health and Safety Engineers, Except Mining Safety Engineers and Inspectors, and industrial product safety engineers are the ideal candidate. This role is contingent upon contract award.
