Job Description

Job Summary:

Mercury Systems is seeking the best and brightest engineer to help us bring cutting edge technology to mission critical aerospace and defense applications, advancing innovation where it matters most. The Principal RF/Antenna Engineer will provide hands-on technical leadership to a team and develop RF test capabilities for an exciting defense application.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Design and develop an advanced RF system using a mix of new and existing modules
  • Lead design of new antenna test capabilities
  • Support design of RF module test capabilitities
  • Support advanced manufacturing of RF modules and phased arrays
  • Support software development for automating test processes and data analysis
  • Troubleshoot RF issues during integration and test of advanced antenna systems
  • Develop root cause and corrective action for integration and test issues
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with cross-functional teams


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or related STEM discipline
  • Typically requires a minimum 7-10 years of experience in High Reliability Military, Aerospace and Defense Electronics manufacturing
  • Experience providing technical leadership to a product development team
  • Experience in testing / troubleshooting RF/Microwave, analog, digital, and/or mixed signal circuits.
  • Experience in failure analysis / Root-Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Experience with electrical and/or RF test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, etc.
  • Experience with antenna test ranges
  • Familiarity with RF and antenna theory
  • This role is Hybrid and will be based in Hudson NH or Phoenix AZ

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, or related STEM discipline
  • Experience with design and test of common RF modules such as power amplifiers, up-converters, down converters, waveform generators, RF modulators, and limiters
  • Deep experience with schematics, block diagrams, and parts lists for complex electronics
  • Experience with design and test of phased arrays
  • Experience using Microwave Office, ADS, HFSS
  • Experience using Matlab
  • Experience developing software to control RF and phased array antenna systems
  • Test development experience in a nearfield antenna range
