Summary




The Manager, Operational Excellence plays a critical role in leading continuous improvement efforts across the freight brokerage network. This individual will be responsible for analyzing operational performance, identifying process inefficiencies, and implementing scalable solutions that drive productivity, service quality, and cost effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics or freight brokerage operations, lean methodologies, and cross-functional project management.





Duties and Responsibilities





  • Identify, assess, and implement continuous improvement initiatives across operations, with a focus on service, cost, and scalability.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions to reduce errors, delays, and inefficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and process documentation.
  • Monitor KPIs and operational performance metrics to track improvement opportunities and ensure progress.
  • Build dashboards and reporting tools in collaboration with BI and analytics teams to support visibility into operational health.
  • Analyze brokerage workflows and load lifecycle data to inform decisions and optimize service execution.
  • Partner with operations, sales, carrier relations, and technology teams to align process improvements with business goals.
  • Serve as a change agent by fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate feedback loops with frontline teams to validate processes and remove operational friction.
  • Support onboarding and continuous training initiatives to ensure employees follow best practices.
  • Drive adoption of tools and technology that enhance operational effectiveness and user experience.
  • Coach team leads and supervisors on metrics management, workflow consistency, and process compliance.
  • Manage strategic initiatives and special projects focused on automation, service quality, and scalability.
  • Create project plans, track timelines, and deliver outcomes aligned with organizational goals.
  • Present results and recommendations to leadership with clarity and actionable insights.

  • Computer skills -Experience with TMS, MS Applications, Power BI, Typing, Email

Educational background / Work experience / Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, process improvement, or project management within the freight brokerage or logistics industry.
  • 2+ years in a process improvement, quality, or operations leadership role
  • Strong understanding of freight brokerage workflows, TMS platforms, and transportation modes (FTL, LTL, intermodal).
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or experience in applying continuous improvement methodologies (preferred).



Language Skills



  • Business fluent in English
  • Preferably good command of local language



Computer Literacy



  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and others)
  • Good knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (MS Dynamics) Tools



Physical and/or Mental Requirements / Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is often required to walk and use hand and eye coordination. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Hours and Environment

Normal working hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, however, working beyond these hours will often be required by business needs.

DSV Road Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as "at will" employees. This means that an employee may be terminated for any reason, or no reason at all, at any time, provided the discharge does not violate any law*. Additionally, each employee has the right to terminate his/her employment at any time. *Except if employed in Montana, where termination requires just cause.

For this position, the expected base pay is:$86,500 - $129,500/ Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
