The Team- Strategy & Transformation, Mergers and Acquisitions

Join a team of talented professionals with deep business and finance transformation experience to guide clients through major transactions (M&A, carve outs, IPOs), new system implementations, and organizational challenges. We help organizations develop business strategy and execute on transformation initiatives in the areas of operational accounting, financial process improvement, financial technology enablement, FP&A, and transactions.

Your Impact



  • Work with a diverse set of commercial clients ranging from growth and mid-size companies to leading enterprise Fortune 100 brands.
  • Help companies develop, plan for, and execute complex mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructurings.
  • Serve Integration Management Office and Separation Management Office teams and workstreams, working with client stakeholders across multiple companies and investor groups.
  • Facilitate client planning sessions ranging from executive and board level meetings to joint integration/separation planning and requirements gathering exercises.
  • Contribute to current state assessments of target companies and build transaction roadmaps.
  • Leverage a "roll-up your sleeves" style to develop and execute against clients' strategic initiatives.
  • Support business development efforts across all stages (market analysis, client sourcing, relationship building, proposal development, oral presentations).
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with clients at all levels that are based on integrity and trust.


Your Experience

Minimum Qualifications



  • BA/BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • 3+ years of client-facing experience in a professional services organization,and/orhighly relevant industry experience (specifically within insurance and/or financial services) in executing complex M&A or restructuring transactions
  • Demonstrated track record of helping companies undergo large scale integration, separation, or restructuring plans
  • Functional experience with the following:


    • Standing up and managing major Integration Management Office / Separation Management Office organizations
    • Conducting finance, technology, and/or operational due diligence
    • Developing pre-legal day 1 (LD1), LD1, and post-LD1 requirements and plans
    • Facilitating integration / separation planning sessions around integration blueprints for integration across people, product, technology, data, etc.
    • Working across stakeholder groups to develop cross-functional workplans and targets - including groups such as Finance, Technology, Underwriting, Policy Administration, Claims, Actuarial Science, Product, HR, Legal, Risk, Cybersecurity, etc.
    • Partnering with product, marketing, and branches to strengthen customer acquisition and retention.
    • Developing future state target operating models for the post-LD1 company(ies)
    • Technology standup, conversions, and cutovers (including planning, data mapping, development, testing, and go-live)
    • Assessing current state operations and processes and designing and implementing interim and permanent processes


  • Prior experience working directly with and advising C-Level executives, including experience presenting complex ideas and facilitating executive workshops
  • Experience supporting firm growth initiatives including business development, proposals, client orals presentations, etc.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
  • Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time


Preferred Qualifications



  • Master of Business Administration (may substitute for business-related undergraduate degree)
  • Previous experience working within the financial services, insurance carrier, and / or insurance brokerage industries
  • Progressive responsibility in managing client relationships and achievement against business development goals


Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Highspring believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure to be between $88,513and $162,750. The individual may also be eligible for a variety of bonus and financial incentives based on individual and company performance.
