The Field Service Project Coordinatorwill be overseeing electrical testing projects, ensuring compliance with NETA standards, safety regulations, and client requirements. This role involves scheduling field service (FS) jobs in Salesforce (SFL), coordinating technician and equipment schedules, managing documentation, and collaborating with technicians and clients to ensure successful project execution. This is a temporary position starting in August and ending in December.
- Schedule FS jobs in Salesforce (SFL) with customers, coordinating FS team schedules, equipment, and materials to ensure timely completion of electrical testing for equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, and protective relays.
- Enter and manage work orders, including purchase orders, drawings, estimate forms, and job site pictures, ensuring accurate and complete documentation using software like PowerDB, Salesforce, or Microsoft Office Suite.
- Track project materials and equipment calibration to ensure availability and compliance with NETA standards.
- Collaborate with the Service Support Manager and Health/Safety Advisor to ensure adherence to NFPA 70E, OSHA, and NETA safety protocols, including coordinating safety training and orientations for project teams.
- Maintain constant communication with clients regarding schedules, customer responsibilities, and project updates, ensuring courteous and professional interactions.
- Coordinate labor and transportation resources, scheduling technicians and equipment to be on site as needed, and ordering and coordinating the delivery of materials and site equipment in a cost-effective manner.
- Monitor project progress, update schedules, and report status to the Service Support Manager.
- Assist in preparing budgets, tracking expenses, and maintaining client communication logs to support cost control management.
- Conduct occasional site visits to verify project progress, compliance with safety and quality standards, and completion of job reports.
- Review work orders to ensure accurate data capture for labor and other project details as part of quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes.
- Write procurement specifications for electrical equipment and prepare bid analysis summaries and purchase recommendations.
- Complete technical report writing and maintain detailed logs of all projects for accurate and timely reporting.
- Work safely around low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems in various environments, including utilities, manufacturing, mining, and oil and gas.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide support outside of normal business hours and on weekends as needed.
- Perform various other duties as required.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree in electrical engineering, project management, or related field preferred.
- 1-4 years of experience in coordination or project management preferred, ideally in electrical testing or a related industry.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, technicians, and management, with the ability to communicate accurately and concisely to all levels within the company.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook); familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and Salesforce (SFL) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of electrical testing processes or willingness to learn NETA standards.
- Knowledge of safety regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA) is an advantage.
- Demonstrates a high level of work ethic, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and establish workload prioritization within and between project teams.
- Skilled at impacting project direction through influence and collaboration.
- Highly proactive, results-oriented, and able to execute tasks effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills; mathematical and technical experience is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and reference check.
