Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant for the department of Family Medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Seeking a graduate student assistant to join our team to work on aging research projects focused on psychosocial adjustment to multimorbidity among Hispanic/Latino older adults. Preferred candidate must have experience with qualitative data collection and analysis, and experience with community-engaged research. The qualified candidate is Bilingual English Spanish-speaking graduate student enrolled in social science and health fields, such as Psychology, Public Health, and Social Work. Able to work in the lab for at least two semesters. Opportunities for manuscript co-authorship. This is a hybrid position, with some travel to
NYC community-based organizations. Flexible work hours. Position starts August 2025.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Assist with recruitment and data collection for focus groups in community-based organizations.
- Communicate with research participants and coordinate logistics of focus groups.
- Assist with preparing materials to communicate study findings to lay audiences.
- Provide support with manuscript and grant development.
- Assist as needed with IRB submissions and other regulatory/administrative needs.
