The Kitchen Aide will support and assist the Kitchen Lead/Cook in ensuring that daily meals are prepared and served in accordance the Child and Adult Food Care Program (USDA-CACFP) guidelines, promoting the health and well-being of all children.

About the role:



  • Assists Cook/Kitchen Lead in the preparation, cooking, and serving of healthy meals and snacks to youth.
  • Assists with the unloading and storing of food deliveries, ensuring inventory is organized and accessible.
  • Performs routine dish washing and general kitchen duties including sanitizing surfaces and equipment as needed.
  • Serves as a substitute cook, preparing and serving meals in the absence of Kitchen Lead/Cook.
  • Ensures Child and Adult Care Food Program (USDA-CACFP) regulations and Salvation Army Safe from Harm guidelines are followed and maintained.
  • Ensures compliance with Child and Adult Care Food Program (USDA-CACFP) regulations and always adheres to The Salvation Army's Safe from Harm guidelines.


Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Previous kitchen experience preferred.

Certifications:



  • Wisconsin Food Handling Certification (Safe SERV)
  • Have CPR and FA certification or be able to complete courses.
