Verstraete IML, USA - Batavia, Ohio

We're looking for ambitious team players to become part of our growing MCC Verstraete team at our locationon Founders Boulevard in Batavia, Ohio! This newer venture, Belgian-based, facility in the U.S. specializes in offset printing labels on polypropylene for injection molding.

The Print Tool Technician is responsible for maintaining all rotary, punching and Guillotine tooling.

Responsibilities:

  • Regular and predictable attendance, including logging in and out of time worked.
  • Complies with all company and safety policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for receiving into inventory, assigning tool locations and handling tooling complaints.
  • Responsible for critical evaluation of all Rotary and Punching dies including quality checks.
  • Responsible for optimizing tooling to provide the best quality specifications to meet customer demands.
  • Ability to read specification sheets, verifying information on specification sheet to production using all available quality tools including InspecVision.
  • Coordinates tooling with planning and scheduling, working closely with production to insure a seamless workflow.
  • Required tool handling, sharpening to insure the best possible tool goes into production while optimizing tool life.

Qualifications:

  • WorkSAFELY- Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures
  • BeDEPENDABLE- regular and predictable attendance and work overtime when required
  • Be aTEAM PLAYER- ability to assist others with machine set-up, run, and clean up
  • BeCARING- respect others and communicate openly
  • HS Diploma or GED is required; College degree preferred or work related printing industry experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into actionable tasks.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong attention to details and ability to complete task on time and in full.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel.
  • Quality conscious and customer focused
  • Self-directed individual with outstanding decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a frequent basis
Other considerations:
  • Wear hearing, foot, eye and/or other personal protective equipment while in a manufacturing setting
  • Frequently use hands to handle or feel, and to write and type
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, crouch and reach with hands and arms
  • Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuous standing, frequent walking, occasional balancing
  • Vision abilities include - close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to distinguish color variations, ability to adjust focus, ability to view a computer screen for extended periods
  • Low to moderate noise environment in office areas, moderate to loud in manufacturing
  • Work flexible/varying schedules and hours as needed
  • Work overtime as required by workload and customer mandated deadlines
