POSITION PURPOSE:
The Production Line Supervisor directs the daily operations of the line, including receipt of inbound components, direction of labor, preventative maintenance, and other special projects. The Production Line Supervisor will maintain high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations, lead and develop the staff on the line, and provide best in class service to our Customers.
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a Safe warehouse and drive a Safety-First culture.
- Ensure good housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the facility
- Supervise line employees and oversee daily operations.
- Maintain and operate filling equipment on the production line.
- Perform preventative maintenance of all packaged machinery used on site.
- Inspect the condition of tools and equipment daily.
- Control and manage inventory through standard operating procedures and systemic tools.
- Ensure a high level of detail and focus on every job.
- Oversee special projects and perform various projects as deemed necessary by management.
- Work in unison with Terminal Manager on prioritizing work to ensure Customer satisfaction.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
- High school diploma/GED Required
- 5+ years experience in a supervisory role
- Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
- Forklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift training
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work with all levels of staff
