DESCRIPTION
Under supervision, The Ultrasound Tech performs and records all sonographic procedures and assists with some specialty procedures in accordance with established departmental guidelines and protocols. This role operates various types of ultrasound equipment, transducers, and recording devices. The Ultrasound Tech also recognizes normal and pathological conditions and modifies the exam accordingly to ensure complete and accurate high-quality information is obtained. This role also involves preparing and positioning patients for procedure by using established ultrasound protocols to achieve the highest quality image; and reviewing, verifying, and evaluating images to ensure excellent image quality. Additionally, the Ultrasound Tech troubleshoots and resolves ultrasound-related PACS issues. This position participates in performance improvement projects within the department and floats within the department as needed. If qualified, this position will float to a specialty unit. The Ultrasound Tech also assists with mentoring junior ultrasound technologists and students and assists other ultrasound technologists with difficult procedures that require advanced skills. All job duties are to be performed at a Practitioner Level. Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $134,780 - $134,780 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $64.55 - $64.55 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
