If so, the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) OU is looking for a Business Manager to work closely with Leaders to streamline processes, support strategic planning & execution as well as driving the rhythm of business. Working as part of the Executive Office, this is a unique opportunity to join the Business Management community focusing on the culture of the teams through people governance and change programs. This role will play an integral role in all aspects of driving growth within these sectors. The ideal candidate will be a customer obsessed, results-oriented, and data-driven individual who is able to solve complex problems. ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Culture: Be a role model of Microsoft's values and leadership principles and an integral member of the US Public Sector Industries and Americas Business Management community and the USPSI and DIB Leadershuip Teams. Owning and leading successful implementation and delivery of the people plan, in conjunction with HR Business Partners to help create an environment for people to do their best work. Business Ops and Rhythm: Responsible for architecting, developing, and executing the rhythm of business (ROB) for Defense Industrial Base (DIB) OU in strong alignment with the Office of US Public Sector Industries. Driving business planning, governance and reporting whilst setting best practice for strategy implementation in collaboration with Leadership Team. Provide analysis and recommendations on key pillars of the plan and track progress against org priorities, decisions, and action plans. Customer & Partner Engagement and Communications: Leverages knowledge of the leader's goals and business approach to plan and prepare content for internal speeches/communications, leading on exec level communications. Supports the leaders in the management or internal Executive Visits, as well as sponsor customer and partner meetings and follow ups. Proactively seeking opportunities to communicate to the wider business the outcomes of these engagements. All while ensuring close alignment with the Executive Admin - owning the running of the leader's office and LT office to ensure effective working. Strategic Programs: Run specific projects and take ownership for pulling together the right team and being clear about the desired outcomes from that team. The position requires an individual who understands how to get things done at Microsoft through impact and influence by leveraging your extensive interpersonal and collaboration skills. In addition, you must have experience in strategic planning, execution, building relationships and working with senior leaders at all levels. Strong knowledge and experience working with corporate headquarters, the field teams, and customers/partners is an excellent advantage. To help drive the culture within the Industry Teams, the Business Manager should have experience of driving people initiatives to support culture change through the way the team works as well as how people are rewarded and recognized. The Business Manager should have a voice within the Management team that provides feedback as well as suggestions on improvements to the Culture. The Business Manager should have strong analytical/problem solving skills, demonstrated success in driving complex strategies and projects, excellent cross-group organizational skills and agility, strong communication skills (verbal and written), proven project management skills and be a motivated self-starter. You should also enjoy working under pressure and within strict deadlines and be flexible with the ability to manage ambiguity and uncertainty. |
