Surface is hiring a Firmware Engineer II to help build the next generation of devices. As a Firmware Engineer II, you will develop, document, and maintain low-level system on chip (SoC) firmware code in partnership with hardware and software teams. You will drive collaboration with partner teams to identify system issues, conduct root cause analysis, and plan for the remediation of issues. You will automate tasks and enable validation partners with maximum code and collateral sharing. You will ensure the firmware operates efficiently and reliably within the hardware environment. ResponsibilitiesUnderstand feature requirements and expected system behavior.Develop/Test/Debug embedded firmware in C, Python, Rust.Modify existing firmware to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed firmware.Integrate third-party firmware. | |
