Server Lead / Systems Administrator Lead to support one of our federal clients at Scott AFB

This position requires aTop-secret security clearance.

Overview:

This position will serve as the focal point for this task. Provide Server support to the user community.

Skills & Abilities:
  • In-depth knowledge of Window Server 2008 or 2012
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows 10 support & technical troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office 2010 / 2013 applications
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory
  • Excellent written and verbal business communication skills with ability to concisely communicate issues to management, users and peers with diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Working knowledge of VMWare and ESXi and HyperV.
  • Large team experience with proven ability to follow direction and contribute ideas to achieve team goals and improve processes.
  • Ability to follow & enforce established processes and security guidelines and effectively communicate them to users.
  • Candidate must be reliable, on-time and able to complete tasks by target dates.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides input to deliverables as required.
  • The ability to build, support, and administer physical and virtual servers with VMware ESXi and vCenter architectures.
  • Manage a virtual server environment built upon Cisco UCS hardware, along with a Cisco Fabric Interconnect module.
  • Support a NetApp physical storage backend.
  • Conduct patching and updates vulnerability systems as required; vulnerability mitigation and documentation via STIGS and the SCAP tool
  • Provide server software installation and troubleshooting.
  • Provide server configuration and Remote Desktop Services Platform (RDSP) management
  • Understanding of group policy impacts to an enterprise server environment
  • Assist with hardware lifecycle replacements (hardware is replaced every three - four years)
  • Provide wireless AP/IDS/IPS support
  • Provide peripheral support (printer, scanner, fax, copier)
  • Provide property accountability
  • Provide data recovery (Backup Exec.)
  • Provide network service management (Domain Name Service (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Tellabs GPON, etc.)
  • Provide enterprise service support (Enterprise Email, DOD365)
  • Provide disaster recovery (Backup Exec)
  • Conduct network security investigations/forensics
  • Attend bi-weekly Change Advisory Boards, attend weekly teleconferences, perform incident escalation, and user account management of over 2,000 accounts.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft 365 Suite of tools to include Teams, OneDrive, and Office Apps.
  • The ability to configure, manage, and administer nuances of Microsoft 365 Groups and the integration of M365 Teams as a primary source of organizational collaboration.
  • On-site hours for this job are 0600-1600, Monday through Friday. On-call hours are 1601-0559, Monday through Friday, as well as on-call 24 hours per day during weekends and holidays.
