Position Overview

The Inside Sales Business Development Representative (ISBDR) at H.B. Fuller plays a key role in driving growth by identifying, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities. This role partners closely with Account Managers to support the sales cycle and close deals. ISBDRs consistently deliver value to prospective customers through strategic outreach and consultative selling. They contribute directly to pipeline development and customer engagement through high-volume outbound activity and strong collaboration across teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, and LinkedIn messaging

  • Conduct market research and lead sourcing to uncover potential customers and decision-makers

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads in Salesforce CRM

  • Execute a consistent call cycle and uncover customer needs through virtual engagement

  • Deliver compelling value propositions tailored to H.B. Fuller's product offerings

  • Facilitate technical discussions to understand customer requirements and recommend solutions

  • Collaborate with Technical and Account Management teams to support site visits, product trials, and audits

  • Drive alignment with stakeholders to move opportunities through the sales funnel

  • Support pricing recommendations, proposals, and contract development for new business

  • Ensure a customer-centric experience that reinforces H.B. Fuller as a trusted partner

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, mechanical, or marketing discipline - or equivalent experience

  • 2-4 years of proven sales experience managing multiple product lines

  • Demonstrated success in prospecting, lead generation, and new business development

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including digital presentation skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and web-based tools

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently and within teams

  • Strong phone-based sales and relationship-building skills

Preferred Requirements

  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com, ZoomInfo, and other sales engagement tools

  • Experience with solution-based or consultative selling approaches

  • Previous B2B sales experience in technical or industrial products

  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills

  • Experience working in a highly metric-driven environment

Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based with a strong focus on electronic communication and phone interaction (approximately 90% of the time)

  • Occasional off-site customer visits and attendance at industry trade shows, conferences, or events

  • Minimal travel required (less than 5%)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is 53,000-60,000.
