Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:


  • First point of contact for users to requests for failure of service; as well as being responsible for maintaining the stability for a portfolio of applications
  • Work closely with users and other technology teams to identify, troubleshoot, resolve issues, and document or modify knowledge
  • Perform initial investigation, proactively identify and research incidents, quickly mitigate the impact through established routines, participate in triages, and respond to requests from users
  • May also be responsible for providing end-to-end management of application access services
  • Follow well-defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and may propose changes to monitoring, alerting and configuration to improve the service levels and work closely with respective subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Provide Level 2 production support for Java based applications within Global Wholesale Banking technology team
  • Provide Level 2 Support for Java Based Applications (Banking Domain)
  • Drive triage calls for significant and high priority issues.
  • Understand end to end application architecture and configurations
  • Work closely with Level 3/Dev partners as integral member of agile development
  • Work closely with DevOps to review planned/emergency releases and escalate any potential stability issues
  • Perform Application Resiliency Certification testing
  • Understand and manage batch processing including running, debugging and restoring any issues with the batch
  • Drive incident management, change management problem management, BCP, batch monitoring, application and infrastructure support functions
  • Provide 24 x 7 monitoring and support of application components and related infrastructure critical to the business, which may include monitoring of applicable technologies and application and operating system specific components, with the goal of proactively identifying and resolving issues prior to interruption of services to the customer
  • Respond to alerts regarding potential production incidents
  • Identify impact to customers and clients, interpret and monitor dashboards
  • Onboard and use monitoring tools to proactively identify and research potential production incidents
  • Onboard new applications in access system(s) of record to meet user requirements and service changes
  • Liaise with development teams to design and configure auto-provisioning, Straight Thru Revocation (STR), Straight Thru Processing (STP) Implementation
  • Escalate to SMEs as needed for incident restoral
  • Perform environment routing, cycling, and implementation of splash pages
  • Partner with change and release teams to support implementations and proactively identify potential issues resulting from changes
  • Support application that uses technologies including, but not limited to JAVA technologies



Requirements:

  • Education: B.E./B. Tech/M.E./M. Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc./BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)
  • 4-6 years of experience
  • 4+ years of experience in Application Production Support
  • Experience in Java/J2EE technologies - Core Java, JDBC, EJB, Java Web Services, Workfusion, RabbitMQ, OCR, Mesos, Marathon
  • Experience in Server-side Java design and development, SOAP/Restful services, Design Patterns, J2EE, XML/XSLT, XML, JDBC, AOP
  • Experience in Scheduling Tools - Blade Logic Autosys
  • Experience in Message Queue's (MQ) Logging (Log4j)
  • Experience in Database - Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, TOAD
  • Familiar with Exadata and other DBaaS platforms
  • Experience in Linux, Shell Scripting
  • Knowledge of Middleware technologies like Weblogic, WebSphere, Mule Community and Mule Enterprise
  • Knowledge of Apache Web Server
  • Expert knowledge of MuleSoft AnyPoint Platform
  • Knowledge of Vanguard and/or other API Operational Services Portals
  • Expert knowledge of Apache Tomcat Server
  • Expert knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture
  • Knowledge of API Gateway Management and API Service Management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • ITIL framework
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools - Splunk AppDynamics
  • Knowledge of Various Clustering tools like Oracle RAC, Linux Cluster, etc.
  • Knowledge of Public and Private Cloud
  • Understanding of Agile Development Methodologies and experience on at least one
  • Excellent communication, debugging and Triage skills
  • Able to collaborate easily and effectively with a large set of stakeholders, has the required hands-on technical skills to troubleshoot and resolve simple to complex issue using these technologies



Desired skills:

  • ITIL Certified



Pay Range: $42.11-$50.11
