We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director to join our Credit Services team. This role is located in New York, NY - HYBRID. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead structuring and underwriting focused on asset backed loan commitments to Private Credit funds.
- Monitor existing credit portfolios, including collateral level performance and portfolio level exposure.
- Responsible for direct credit coverage of key clients and relationship leads to understand and assess credit needs, as well as generating new business opportunities for BNY.
- Champion strategy expansion opportunities and lead team initiatives to develop related know-how
- Attend industry events and conferences expanding BNY's footprint in the lender finance space.
- Work with key BNY stakeholders to enhance infrastructure and operational efficiencies for the business.
- Responsible for oversight and mentorship of junior team members.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required, advanced degree is preferred
- 10+ years of experience in a corporate and/or investment banking capacity, with 3+ years related to Lender/Sponsor Finance, Private Credit Lending or Structured Finance
- Knowledge of, and experience in, the Private Credit space preferred
- Leadership experience preferred
- Excellent credit analysis and financial modelling skills
- Experience in reviewing, analyzing and negotiating credit documentation
- Ability to communicate skillfully and effectively with involved stakeholders
- Robust analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and attentiveness to detail

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $127,000 and $240,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
