Note: This is a remote position with travel (50% +) to support projects. The candidate must reside in TN. The candidate should reside within a reasonable driving distance of either our Knoxville or Brentwood, TN office for occasional in-person team meetings.

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage complex projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and exceeding client expectations. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, budget allocation, schedule development, and resource management.

  • Establish and maintain clear communication channels with project teams, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.

  • Proactively identify and assess project risks, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies to minimize potential disruptions.

  • Manage and track project progress, utilizing project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Planview, etc.) to monitor milestones, identify dependencies, and address critical path issues.

  • Ensure that projects are executed in accordance with established project management methodologies, industry best practices, and company standards.

  • Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring that deliverables meet quality standards and budgetary requirements.

  • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.

  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on progress, challenges, and risks.

  • Monitor project financials, ensuring adherence to budget and maximizing project profitability.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve project management processes and methodologies within the organization.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated expertise in project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

  • Proficiency in using project management software such as MS Project, Planview, Kissflow, and/or Primavera P6.

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse audiences.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of resolving complex project issues.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs, Drive, Meet, Chat, etc.) or the Microsoft equivalent is required.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science) is a plus.

  • PMP Certification highly preferred. CAPM certification is considered a plus.

  • PM Masters Certificate (a plus).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.

  • Experience managing projects in the telecommunication industry is a plus.

  • Understanding of two-way radio/cellular infrastructure communications products, services, and systems is a plus.

  • Knowledge of local public safety customers (police, fire, and emergency medical services) and their specific needs is a plus.

Target Base Salary Range: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
