PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Owens Corning is on a journey to become the world's best building and materials company which requires transforming our systems, tools, and processes to leverage technology more effectively across all business units. The Director, Business Transformation will play a key role in leading and executing strategic transformation initiatives that align with our organizational goals and drive impactful change across the enterprise by leading best-in-class systems and process design, implementation and governance across the enterprise. This leader will embrace clean-sheet approaches to simple and standard solutions as an enabler of creating capacity, capability, and effectiveness to core underlying business tools and processes across key business functions.

Span of Control: Direct team of four and total team size of approximately 10


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive Transformation Through Business and Functional Partnership

Position Owens Corning as a customer-recognized best-in-class enterprise by enhancing commercial systems, manufacturing finance, and supporting infrastructure.



  • Align with internal stakeholders to define a transformational customer-facing strategy.
  • Partner with commercial leaders, supply chain and IT to define best in class commercial support systems.
  • Define "Best in Class" manufacturing finance roadmap to maximize productivity and business value.
  • Partner with manufacturing finance, supply chain and IT to define best in class systems, process, and technology to unlock productivity throughout our global network of plants.
  • Partner with plants and businesses to develop common tools, systems, and processes that leverage technology to enable productivity and capability in a standardized manner across our global footprint.
  • Develop and prioritize roadmaps for delivering differentiated value to enterprise customers through system, process, analytics, and technology enhancements executed in a standard and sustainable manner.



Process Transformation & Governance

Ensure effective process design, implementation, and governance to support a simple, standard, and automated enterprise.



  • Lead best-in-class systems and process design, implementation, and governance across the enterprise.
  • Promote standard ERP solutions to drive scale and efficiency.
  • Develop standard metrics, KPIs and scorecarding to measure transformation progress with a focus on simple, standard, automated.
  • Build business cases for strategic technology investments.
  • Review and report on transformation progress to senior leaders and other key stakeholders.
  • Design and transform operating models to enhance efficiency and support business growth.
  • Oversee governance frameworks and manage enterprise-level projects to ensure compliance and delivery.
  • Act as an accountability partner to the businesses and functions to ensure true process transformation and efficiencies are realized.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business process improvements and operational excellence.

Enterprise Leadership

Foster a culture of innovation, strategic evaluation and continuous improvement through inspirational leadership and strong stakeholder engagement at all levels of the organization.



  • Develop and communicate the vision for area of accountability ensuring the impact is clear to key stakeholders.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment across departments to streamline processes, improve decision-making, and accelerate execution of transformational initiatives.
  • Partner with senior leaders across the enterprise to ensure synergy among transformation initiatives.
  • Lead communication of strategic plans and progress to stakeholders, both internal.
  • Develop and empower a team of individuals to successfully deliver a portfolio of high-impact enterprise initiatives.
  • Relentlessly prioritize opportunities to maximize value creation while minimizing execution risk.
  • Communicate transformation goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in.
  • Support change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.



JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Experience:



  • Undergraduate degree in business or related field of study required; Masters-level degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of cross functional experience in combination of the following: commercial, finance, operations, supply chain
  • Progressive leadership experience across a global matrixed environment.

  • Proven track record of identifying and overcoming challenges.
  • Ability to leverage technology and systems to enable scale and efficiency.
