Description The Clinical Program Manager will be responsible for providing leadership, supervision, and management for pediatric and young adult sports medicine outpatient therapy clinical care. Provides management, training, and supervision for a staff of physical therapists and strength and conditioning clinical providers aimed at outpatient sports medicine care at the Fight for Children Sports Medicine Center. Current staff plan for up to ten staff members. Provides continued program development for pediatric and adolescent outpatient sports medicine focused physical therapy and targeted injury prevention and performance improvement in conjunction with the motion analysis lab. Provides procedural oversight and space planning for the sports medicine therapy gym, treatment space, and therapy equipment, 4) serve as a clinical physical therapist conducting evaluation and therapy services. Location ; Silver Spring, Maryland Qualifications Minimum Education Master's Degree Minimum of a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program. (Required) Minimum Work Experience 5 years Minimum 5 years experience in pediatric outpatient physical therapy. (Required) Required Licenses and Certifications Physical Therapist Licensed as a PT in MD Upon Hire (Required) Physical Therapy Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy Upon Hire (Preferred) Or Board certification in Sports Physical Therapy or in strength and conditioning Upon Hire (Preferred) Functional Accountabilities Sports Center Strategic Management Assists upper management in Sports Center clinical volume budgeting and plan modification based on center performance. Assists upper management in Sports Center budgeting based on clinical expectations. Professional Practice/Research Evaluates and provide therapy incorporating advanced best practice and research driven techniques pursuant to professional practice acts Consistent uses advanced techniques to achieve consistent and positive outcomes. Program and Service Management Implements strategic plan through management of day-to-day operations of Fight for Children Sports Medicine Center Physical Therapy. Collaborates with upper management on significant operational issues/barriers. Collaborates with upper management to evaluate current as well as new program initiatives for effectiveness, feasibility and cost. Collaborates with Fight for Children Sports Medicine Center Motion Analysis Lab to develop performance enhancement program for fee for service care delivery. Human Resources Management Collaborates with Sports Center upper management to, hire, train, develop and direct assigned staff to meet operational objectives. Develops staffing plan/schedule and deploy staff appropriately to optimize productivity and ensure quality services. Information Resource Management Develops and implements clinical information resources and decision-support tools for orthopedic sports physical therapy.
