The Impact You'll Make

At Lam, as an Engineering Technician, you play a crucial role in supporting activities including design, test, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, and specialized test equipment. Referencing schematics, diagrams, and descriptions, you conduct testing and troubleshooting. You'll perform fault isolation and assist in determining methods to remedy malfunctions. Your commitment to precision and problem-solving enhances Lam's engineering systems.

In this role, you will directly contribute to metrology team in TUA campus.

What You'll Do
  • Sets up metrology equipment and performs recipe adjustments within guidelines.
  • Operate semiconductor metrology tools including but not limited to optical profilometers as well as other semi-conductor laboratory instruments such as wafer sorters and baggers
  • Manage wafer movements and metrology requests from an online job queue
  • Delivering metrology results with a focus on maintaining data integrity
  • Document and provide basic operational training to users of metrology tools
  • Run SPC test and track tool performance of metrology assets
  • Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment
  • Support Engineers in running detailed experiments and providing written pass-down
  • Interface with vendor Field Service Engineer to provide support and troubleshooting ensuring timely solutions and minimal downtime
Who We're Looking For
  • Must meetoneof the following qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in a science field
    • Associates Degree with 3+ years relevant experience
    • 5+ years relevant work experience in semiconductor industry
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment (bunny suit, safety glasses, masks, gloves)
  • Ability to be flexible and responsive to changing priorities
  • Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
  • Excellent oral and written communication
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior operation experience of optical interferometer (Camtek eagle system) or other similar systems.
  • Strong team player and creative problem solver
  • Driven, highly organized, strong attention to detail
  • Capability to deal with fast paced, customer service-oriented mindset
  • Flexibility to provide weekends coverage or compressed work schedule

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
